The College has established a Diversity Committee whose specific mission is to promote and celebrate mutual understanding, dignity, respect, and cooperation among all those at The University of Alabama. In particular, this committee serves those marginalized by systemic inequality, believing that individuals of every race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability status, religion, or other protected class are welcome and valuable to our University, and to our wider community. The committee will work to discourage and prevent discriminatory practices toward any group.
